After discussing Emely’s preferences, we sketched different denim top shapes. Emely chose a vest-style top, which would be both versatile and aligned with her style.

The first fitting was focused on checking the fit and pinning areas like the necklines. We worked together to ensure it was comfortable and to make adjustments before moving forward.

The garment was sewn primarily from two main pieces, with special focus on shaping the neck and neck strap. The hands-on construction process was done without patterns or mannequins.

The buttons were sourced from the same pair of jeans, adding a personalized, cohesive touch. After testing, I added additional support to the front buttonhole area for better durability.

With the final adjustments complete, the garment was fitted perfectly to Emely’s measurements, resulting in a one-of-a-kind vest-style top, built with attention to fit, function, and sustainability.
